After watching so many Korean dramas, the word MT is so commonly used I am SO CURIOUS about what it actually is.
In the exchange program, I am glad that I got a chance to experience the MT for the volunteer club that I joined.
After volunteering at an elderly service centre in the morning, we went for lunch in our respective cliques and then we took a 1.5hour long bus from Sinchon to this rural area in Ganghwa Island.
The scenery was very pretty as the traditional house that we would be spending the night at is near the sea.
As soon as we reached the traditional house, we went outside to explore the surroundings!

The traditional house that we would be spending our night in. The roof is made up of broken containers, damn cool!

Scenery was breathtaking.
After enough exploring is done (and because the sea breeze was getting a tad too cold for us to endure), we headed back to the house! People were just sitting around chatting and playing Go Stop, the traditional Korean card game.

We waited and lazed around for some time while waiting for dinner time.
Dinner was outdoor samgyupsal in the VERY cold weather.
It was so freezing cold zomg. When the seniors are done with the batches of samgyupsal, the meat would be snapped up in a short time! Everybody was so hungry. It was a memorable experience though, being able to eat burnt meat while shivering in the cold.

Waiting anxiously for the meat to get cooked. On that cold weather, the smartest thing to do is to gather round a heat source.
After having our dinner, we got a chance to try on hanboks! Everybody looks so demure and pretty in their hanboks! (: The BTS for the hanbok wearing was a nightmare though. We struggled to find the fitting hanboks in the cramp changing area. But nevertheless, everyone came out looking so fine!

In a wide array of colours with some of my most favourite people in the exchange program (:
After having fun wearing hanboks and feeling very traditional, THE REAL MT STARTS!
Unlimited drinking (and puking for some) as well as fun drinking games make up the MT.
As I wasn't very good at drinking, I only had abit of soju :p We were introduced to many drinking games and I love the YA NOL EEMA, as well as the AHH SHOT! :D
Went to bed at around 2am in the kind ahjumma's room. As it was a traditional house, the heater system wasn't especially good and I was freezing in the middle of the night :/
Woke up super early to catch the 8am bus back to Sinchon!
The whole MT was an unforgettable experience (although I felt it wasn't worth the 30000won that we paid because we didn't have chartered buses and only dinner was provided)! (:
